James Day (Director of Choral Music, Tiffin School) conducts the combined Tiffin Oratorio Choirs in the annual Tiffin Oratorio.
Composed in 1906, The Kingdom continues Elgar’s exploration of faith and humanity, portraying the lives of the Apostles in the days following Pentecost. Set to the composer’s own libretto drawn from scripture, the oratorio unfolds with profound spiritual depth and luminous orchestration, revealing Elgar at his most visionary and contemplative.
